Proteostasis

Proteostasis, also known as protein homeostasis, is the natural regulation of proteins within a cell. The failure of proteostasis, such as the accumulation of misfolded or aggregated proteins, can lead to a variety of age-related diseases such as Alzheimer’s, cancer, and diabetes.
