This consulting role will report directly to the CEO to provide important infrastructure, which enables the legal and leadership teams to meet priorities. The primary functions for which the position will be responsible are paralegal activities and project administration.

*This is a remote position. Must be based in the United States.

Responsibilities: 

• Draft, review, and interpret a wide range of standard agreements including NDAs, services agreements, consulting agreements, statements of work, and other agreements customary to a fast-growing life-sciences company
• Technical expert for all legal systems including power-user of SharePoint
• Assist legal and leadership teams with document management and storage
• Interface with many internal groups (e.g., finance, HR) and outside counsel
• Facilitate the implementation of new legal processes, policies, and procedures
• Supports daily operations and administrative needs of Company including calendaring, presentation prep, documentation management etc.
• Identify solutions to increase overall efficiency
• Assist in strategic planning process
• Care for ad hoc requests as needed
  

Qualifications: 

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a paralegal role, preferably within the biotechnology industry
• Preference for Paralegal Certification and experience at a Law Firm
• Tech savvy and familiar with SharePoint
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment in which priorities may shift to support the evolving needs of the business
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and outstanding attention to detail
• Understands, practices, and champions ethical business behaviors
• Ability to think creatively and work independently, while meeting aggressive deadlines and juggling multiple matters
• Proactive and positive approach to addressing issues and working with others as a team
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs in real time
• Ability to build strong relationships with co-workers of various backgrounds and expertise
