Job Description


HCW Biologics is looking for a Research Associate. This individual must be highly motivated and committed with experience in cell culture, molecular biology techniques, immunology assays and animal models to support HCW's scientist.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to research efforts by carrying out defined technical tasks.
  • Assists in performing sterile cell culture techniques.
  • Performs standard laboratory techniques.
  • Follows stablished guidelines and protocols.
  • Understands and interprets research protocols and procedures. May develop protocol and criteria; may design intervention protocols.
  • May participate in the publication of significant results. May co-author publications and may co-present results with Scientist at meetings and/or conferences.
  • May act as liaison with other departments.
  • Communicates with research Scientist on a regular basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

  • BS in biology, immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience with cell culture, cloning, medium preparation and laboratory maintenance, cell-based or protein-based assays (cell proliferation, flow cytometry. ELISA. immunofluorescence, etc).
  • Experience with molecular biology techniques.
  • Wiling and ability to work with live laboratory animals.
  • Demonstrated excellence in planning, executing, and analyzing experiments.
  • Able to troubleshoot, solve difficult problems, and develop process improvements.
  • Attention to detail and careful record-keeping.
  • Ability to quantify experimental results and present to the group using Power Point slides.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Highly self-motivated and goal-oriented.

Job Description


HCW Biologics is an innovative immunotherapy company developing novel therapeutics designed to disrupt the link between chronic, low-grade inflammation and age-related disorders.

The Quality Control Analyst will be responsible for lot release and stability testing within the QC unit. This position performs QC testings of lot release and stability samples, following approved SOPs and comply with GMP regulations.

Specifically, this role will:

  • Perform all assigned quality control and patient testing in compliance with cGMPs.
  • Make buffers and reagents per SOP. Maintain all records in data record on laboratory notebook.
  • Perform analytical testing (i.e., IEF, SDS-PAGE, HPLC, ELISA, cIEF, CE, HCP) or other related experiments under the guidance of senior lab personnel.
  • Maintain and operate QC laboratory equipment in a GMP compliance manner to include daily monitoring.
  • Responsible for calibration and maintenance of small equipment, such as pH meter and balances.
  • Order general lab supplies/materials, as required.
  • Careful review of Quality Control SOP's and revision of documents using the control process.
  • Document and obtain approvals for planned and unplanned deviations and incidents.
  • Participate in SOP assay preparation and qualification.
  • Stay up-to-date with all training related to relevant cGMPs, GLPs, and GDPs.
  • Stay up-to-date on required reading or training on all job-related SOP revisions.
  • Assist others in team when needed.
Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in biological sciences or chemistry.
  • Basic lab experience required.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
